David sees missed opportunity in organizations that fail to adapt and embrace change and has made it his purpose to help them achieve their full potential. Wherever he looks – no matter the industry – organizations are realizing that the structures, values, and principles that enabled them in the past have become a liability.
The way they organized and led no longer works as they scale and confront greater complexity and constant change. Organizations have debt built up over time that is weighing them down and making them fragile.
For the last twenty years, David has studied how organizations lead change and how those who adapt to complexity, volatility, and uncertainty to become responsive to change can gain a great competitive advantage.
As an advisor and facilitator, David has led engagements with a wide range of organisations including CHANEL, Aboitiz Power, Overseas Chinese Bank Corp., Brunei Shell Petroleum, American Express, Merck, University of Michigan, Lutron Electronics, DBS Bank, Microsoft, Salesforce, ABB, SalesForce, Standard Chartered Bank, Arizona State University, the City of Tacoma, the Arizona Technology Council, ASM, National University of Singapore, as well as several Singapore social service agencies among others.
As a senior executive, David has led business functional areas including Strategic Development, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Global Operations, Innovation, and M&A Integration. He has worked with organisations on five continents across sixty countries ranging from Fortune 50 to mid-size to start-ups and has experience in travel distribution, financial services, consulting, and construction.
David is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration at the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University. David has a Master in International Management from Thunderbird, the School for Global Management at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University.
